W.A.R. Zone (We Are Racers Zone) is the first-ever fan experience for all Murray State Racer athletics teams and their fans at the CFSB Center this Sunday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
It will be a great opportunity for fans to interact with athletes and coaches from every sport, eat free barbecue samples from Allegro Marinade, play fun games with collegiate athletes, get autographs and take home some great prizes. Fans of all ages will enjoy this unique experience and the best part is that it is all free.
All kids in attendance will receive a free backpack and opportunity to participate in activity with each Murray State athletic team. "We are excited to offer a free event for families that encompasses student athletes and kids in the community in the same place at the same time," said Jarod Martin, a Murray State Basketball alumni and current Director of Family Ministry at Journey Church. "I am excited to see this new tradition grow and help build a bridge between the community and athletic programs at Murray State."
W.A.R. Zone, presented by Journey Church and Allegro Marinade is sponsored by 3 Hearts Juice Bar, The Murray Bank, Ricky Lamkin, Pella Corporation, Lake Chem Community Federal Credit Union, Froggy 103.7, State Farm Chad Cochran, State Farm Ryan Walker, Celebrations and Imes Funeral Home.
