Boone Earns CoSIDA Academic Honor

Sophomore Dylan Boone has earned the prestigious honor of being named as an Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America, the organization announced on Thursday.
The exercise science major currently boasts a 3.63 GPA and has racked up 28 total tackles as a sophomore including 22 solo, the fourth-highest total on the team. Boone's big highlight of the season, however, came at Northern Illinois when he picked up a fumble and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.30 GPA, have been at their institution for one full calendar year, have played in at least 50% of their team's games and be a starter or important reserve.

Boone now waits until Dec. 3 to see if he will become Murray State's 18th all-time Academic All-American and the first in football since 1979.
