With just one day's rest, Murray State will travel to Evansville for its penultimate non-conference series of the season.
Last Time Out
The Racers dropped the first two games of the weekend at Jacksonville State Saturday, but bounced back with two wins on Sunday at Tennessee Tech. At Tennessee Tech, the Racers won game one, 4-0, with CheyAnne Gaskey posting her fourth shutout of the season with no runs on five hits with strikeouts over seven innings. Jessica Twaddle was 2-for-3 in the contest with a home run and accounted for three of MSU's four RBIs.
In game two, MSU jumped out to a early 4-0 lead, only to have the Golden Eagles battle back in the bottom of the sixth with five runs after an 82 minute rain delay. Murray State then exploded for 10 runs on 11 hits in the top of the seventh for the 14-5 win. Twaddle was a career-high 4-for-5 in the game, while Mo Ramsey and Erica Howard had three hits each.

Series History vs. Evansville
The Racers have been roll as of late against Evansville, winning the last four meetings to even the series at 6-6. Murray State won each of three meetings last season, two in Murray and one in Memphis, and won the back end of a doubleheader at Evansville in 2013. The win at Cooper Stadium in 2013 by Murray State was one of just two all-time wins against the Purple Aces in Evansville.
