This Weekend's Action
The Racers will return home looking to keep their four-game win-streak alive and improve on their third-place position in the OVC standings.
Last Time Out
The Racers pushed their win-streak to four on Tuesday with a 9-5 and 10-2, six-inning win at Evansville. Murray State got off to a slow start in the game, but thanks to a pair of home runs from Jessica Twaddle and Alexa Becker and a pair of two-RBI singles from Maggie Glass and Shelbey Miller they were able to battle back for the win. In game two, Evansville once again took an early lead, but MSU scored 10 of the next 11 runs in game to secure the victory. Kaylyn Zierke homered in the game, marking her first in a Murray State uniform.
Miller was 5-for-7 in the doubleheader with two runs and 5 RBIs, while Mo Ramsey was 6-for-9 with five runs. Ramsey has now recorded three hits in each of the last three games. Haven Campbell got the five-inning relief win for MSU in game one, while Mason Robinson also went five to earn the win in game two.
