The Racers will close out their respective 2015 home and non-conference slates Tuesday with a doubleheader against regional foe Memphis.
Last Time Out
The Racers swept Austin Peay last weekend winning all three games to push their current win streak to a season-high seven. The second win came in highly exciting fashion, as MSU came from behind twice in the final three innings. Mallory Richardson gave MSU the win in the eighth when she hit a walk-off home run, the third long ball of her career.
Maggie Glass led Murray State at 4-for-7 in the series with three runs, two walks and two doubles. In addition, Shelbey Miller was 5-for-11 with two runs, two doubles, a triple and two RBIs. CheyAnne Gaskey went 2-0 against the Lady Govs with 14 strikeouts, while Mason Robinson got the other win while striking out four.
Series History vs. Memphis
Murray State is 1-4 all-time against Memphis, getting its first win in the series last season in Memphis, 4-3. The Tigers have made just one previous trip to Murray, where they took two from MSU by identical 5-4 scores with the final game of the doubleheader stretching to eight innings. Through five games in the series, each and every contest has been decided by just one run.
