The Racers will close out their respective 2015 home and non-conference slates Tuesday with a doubleheader against regional foe Memphis.
Last Time Out
The Racers swept Austin Peay last weekend winning all three games to push their current win streak to a season-high seven. The second win came in highly exciting fashion, as MSU came from behind twice in the final three innings. Mallory Richardson gave MSU the win in the eighth when she hit a walk-off home run, the third long ball of her career.
Maggie Glass led Murray State at 4-for-7 in the series with three runs, two walks and two doubles. In addition, Shelbey Miller was 5-for-11 with two runs, two doubles, a triple and two RBIs. CheyAnne Gaskey went 2-0 against the Lady Govs with 14 strikeouts, while Mason Robinson got the other win while striking out four.
Series History vs. Memphis
Murray State is 1-4 all-time against Memphis, getting its first win in the series last season in Memphis, 4-3. The Tigers have made just one previous trip to Murray, where they took two from MSU by identical 5-4 scores with the final game of the doubleheader stretching to eight innings. Through five games in the series, each and every contest has been decided by just one run.

Memphis enters Tuesday at 16-31 overall and are 4-11 in the American Athletics Conference. The Tigers won their series last weekend by taking two of three games from USF in Tampa, putting an end to their 11-game losing streak. Addison Maxwell leads the U of M at .323 on the season, while Lindsay Crowdus follows at .315 with 20 RBIs. The ace for the Tigers in the circle this season has been Jordan Richwood who is 9-17 with a 3.83 ERA and 118 strikeouts.
As a team, Memphis is hitting .255, while opponents hit .271 against them. Opposing hitters have also displayed power against the Tigers with a .436 slugging percentage, compared to their own .341. Shelbey Miller was named as OVC Player of the Week Monday for the first time of her career. She hit .556 on the week with eight RBIs and two doubles.

The Racers dropped to 104 in the latest rankings, despite going 5-0 last week. Even with the drop, Murray State passed Jacksonville State to move to second amongst OVC teams.
