Davis, Dean Ready for Final Chapter

The Murray State football team will field 23 seniors when it takes the field for the first time in 2015 at home on September 3 against Kentucky Wesleyan. Of those 23, 12 have the special distinction of having spent all four years of their careers, or five in some cases, at Murray State.
Janawksi Davis is one such player, a receiver who came to MSU from Eight Mile, Alabama. Davis had a breakout season in 2014, racking up 909 yards on 63 catches. His 13 touchdowns last season were the second-most by any receiver in a single season in Racer history.
Another four-year letterwinner this season is Zac Dean, a defensive lineman from Salem, Alabama. Dean has appeared in 34 of 35 games since arriving in 2012 and has made 107 tackles in his career. In 2014, he posted a career-high 52 tackles including 5.5 for a total loss of 20 yards.
