Football Finishes Fall Camp Strong

The Murray State football team capped of its 2015 fall preseason camp Saturday with its third and final scrimmage. This scrimmage, however, was a bit different as it was a "kicking" scrimmage, working primarily on special teams and certain in-game situations.
For the fans, the scrimmage had a different feel to it as each group got several opportunities to go over each situation. This type of scrimmage allows the coaching staff the chance spend a large amount of time on and the opportunity to evaluate situations, that while they do not occur on a regular basis, are still crucial when the time comes.
Both head coach Mitch Stewart and defensive coordinator Chris Boone were happy with the progress the team had made since opening camp, but knew there  still work do be done on each side of the ball. Individually, KD Humphries continued to excel offensively connecting on touchdowns in both long and short field situations, while Elijah Daniel came up big for the defense making several big plays.
