Two Teams Receive Academic Achievement Award

Two Murray State athletic teams were honored by the Ohio Valley Conference with Team Academic Achievement Awards Wednesday by the league office.
The Racer men's cross country and women's tennis squads received the honor, which is presented annually in each conference-sponsored sport to the member institution's team with the greatest percentage of its eligible student-athletes who achieved a 3.25 GPA or higher.
Last week, seven men's cross country and eight women's tennis student-athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll, while Neil Yockey from cross country and Nancy Karaky from tennis, received the OVC Medal of Honor with perfect 4.0 GPAs.
