Zakutney & Edwards Post Dual Top-10 Finishes

Murray State's Matthew Zakutney and Avery Edwards each posted a top-10 finish for the Racers' men's golf team at the Samford Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Alabama.
MSU's lone senior, Zakutney placed seventh with scores of 74-78-71=223, while Edwards, a freshman, placed eighth with rounds of 75-74-75=224.
The Racers finished fifth in the final event of the fall season with scores of 304-205-299=908, four shots behind Tennessee Tech.
Austin Knight came home with a 22nd place showing in scores of 76-78-77=231, while Gabe Wheeler was 28th with scores of 79-79-76=234. Matthew Winder placed 32nd on scores of 83-75-81=239.
Cole Manion played the event as an individual and placed 37th with scores of 81-82-82=245.
UT Martin was the winner at 889, while Montevallo (894) was second and host Samford (899) was third.
Greystone Golf Club played to a par of 72 and 7,206 yards.
The Racers finish their fall season with three top-5 finishes. They'll get the spring season going when they visit the Snowman Getaway (Feb. 25-27) at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.
