17 Racers to Play in Summer Baseball Leagues

A total of 17 members of the Murray State baseball team are set to return to the diamond this summer as they will be continuing seasons with summer clubs throughout the country. The Racers will be represented on 15 teams in 11 different leagues.
Four Racers will be playing in the Coastal Plains League, with three playing for the Petersburg Generals. Second Team All-OVC member Adam Bauer will be playing for the Generals and is joined by teammates Brandon and Caleb Hicks. First Team All-OVC honoree Ramsey Scott will be playing for the Ashboro Copperheads in the CPL.
A pair of Racers will be playing in the St. Louis Metro Collegiate League as Caleb Arbeiter is on the Trojans' roster while Blake Clynes will play for the Bandits this summer. Two more MSU student-athletes will be playing in the Ohio Valley League as Matthew Dudas will be playing for the Hoptown Hoppers and Davis Sims will play for the Paducah Chiefs.
Two student-athletes will be representing MSU in the Northwoods League as Austin Dubsky will be playing for the St. Cloud Rox and Derrik Watson will be playing with the Mankato MoonDogs.
Seven other leagues will feature Racers this summer as Aaron Bence will be playing for Lafayette in the Prospect League and Jack Hranec will be in the Livonia Collegiate League playing for the Michigan Bulls. 2016 All-OVC First Team member Tyler Lawrence will be playing for the Falmouth Commodores in the prestigious Cape Cod League.
John Lollar will be playing for the Winchester Royals in the Virginia Valley League, Joseph McMahon will be playing in the New York Collegiate Baseball League for the Sherrill Silversmiths, Kipp Moore will be playing with the Valley Blue Sox of the New England CBL and Austin Shallcross will be with the Addison Braves of the Chicago Suburban League.
