Humphries Finds Knowledge At Manning Camp

Murray State quarterback KD Humphries is back on campus after participating in the 2016 Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
"I had a great time and I want to thank the Manning family again for inviting me down to Thibodaux last weekend," Humphries said. "Being around some great guys and great competitors and I enjoyed myself."
Coming into his senior season with the Racers, Humphries is one of the top signal callers in the nation. In 2015, he led the nation in FCS passing with 3,778 yards.
Attending the Manning Camp was an important learning experience for KD.
"There was so much knowledge floating around there in the different offenses, quarterbacks and the coaches," Humphries added. "I just soaked it up like a sponge. (He learned) There is no time for standing around. There is always something you can get better at. Peyton told us that to be a great quarterback, you have to be a great receivers coach to get them in the right places and get the right communication."
With the Racers camp set to open in early August, the Racers quarterback is looking forward to it.
"I'm very excited," Humphries said. "I'll finish up these workouts and the summer grind. I think we're going to have a tremendous year and there's going to be a tremendous turnout. We're working hard to be better."
The 2016 season opens (Sept. 3) when the Racers play at Illinois. The home opener is against Missouri State (Sept. 10) at Roy Stewart Stadium.
