STATS Names Humphries As Preseason All-American
8/1/2016 2:02:00 PM | Football
Murray State senior quarterback KD Humphries has been named to the third team of the 2016 STATS Preseason All-American teams, the news outlet announced Monday.
This is the first major All-American honor for the redshirt senior, after leading the nation in completions per game, passing yards and passing yards per game. His 3,778 yards in 2015 was a school record and propelled Murray State to number two in the FCS statistical rankings in passing offense and 12th in overall offense. Humphries will enter the season as the FCS' active career leader in yards per game at 262.2.
This is just the latest accolade for the Montgomery, Alabama native, as he is already garnering attention as both a player and as a draft prospect. TyrantScouting.com recently ranked Humphries as the number three quarterback in all of FCS and the sixth-best FCS prospect for the 2017 NFL Draft.
