Racers Take Part In First Scrimmage

The Murray State football team put on full pads for the first time Monday for their first scrimmage of 2016 fall camp. This was head coach Mitch Stewart's first opportunity to evaluate his team over what they have learned in the first three days of camp. Stewart will have his next chance to evaluate his talent next Monday for the second scrimmage of fall camp. The team will take tomorrow off as they travel to Fort Campbell for a tour of the base and chance to thank, in person, members of the United States military for their service to our country.

Also on Monday, the hits kept coming for senior quarterback KD Humphries, as he was named to the College Sports Madness Preseason All-America third team. Las week, he received the same honor from STATS.com and its FCS writers.

Fans can see Stewart, Humphries and the rest of the Racers for under $3 per person, per game through the month of August by purchasing a family pack for just $49. The package incudes four tickets to all five home games, as well as four popcorn vouchers, per game. This deal will only be offered during the month of August and can only be purchased by calling the Racer ticket office at (270) 809-3000.
