Racers Compete In NCAA Regional 10k

The Murray State men's Cross Country team competed in the NCAA Div. 1 Southeast Regional race at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday, November 10.
This was the first 10k the racers competed in this year, as they raced against 31 other school.
Gavin Galanes was the top place finisher for the Racers with a 109th place finish and a time of 31:51.1 as Mark Ventura finished with 114th with a final time of 31:57.5
"All of our men ran a great strategic race, passing runners in the final 4K. Really outstanding performance by Caleb Kawasaki. This was his first time racing the 10k and he stepped up as our number 3 guy, negative splitting the second half of the race on a pretty challenging course. Gavin Galves finished out his collegiate career as our top finisher for the men with PR of 31:51.1 with Mark Ventura following close behind with a 31:57.5, " said head coach Adam Kiesler.
