Murray State's Ke'Shunan James has been named the season's first ADIDAS OVC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced Tuesday by the league office. James was named co-player of the week along with Tennessee State's Tia Wooten.
James led the Racers with 30 points in Sunday's season-opening loss at Evansville. It was the third 30-point outburst of her career. James also grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds on the day, notching the 13th double-double of her career. James shot 12-of-21 from the floor and added five assists and a pair of steals in the contest.
This marks the eighth time in her career that James has received conference player of the week honors. James and the rest of the Racers play their home opener Wednesday at 11 a.m., as Butler comes to town.
