Racers Open OVC Play At Belmont

The Murray State Women's Tennis team rallied but fell 4-3 in the conference opener against the Bruins of Belmont at the Brentwood Swim and Tennis Club at Wildwood in Nashville, Tennessee.
MSU took home the doubles point after Claire Chang and Alina Schibol defeated their Bruin duo 6-2. The doubles team of Anja Loncarevic and Amina Hadzic won their matches in back-to-back meets and continue to be a strong duo for the Racers. The third set was not finished.
The Belmont Bruins struck back in the singles and took home victories in four of the six matches.
Amina Hadzic won her match 6-4, 6-2 over Bruin's Laura Van Eeckhoudt. Sara Bjork defeated Suzanna Stapler 6-4, 6-4 to give the Racers another singles point on the night.
Murray State falls 2-7 on the season.
MSU will continue OVC play as they travel across town to take on the Tigers of Tennessee State on Saturday (March 18).
