The Murray State women's golf team rallied from five shots down in the final round and won the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate in a playoff Tuesday at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia.
The Racers fired a final round 293 and caught fellow Ohio Valley Conference member Eastern Kentucky who carded a 298. MSU won the event on the first hole of the playoff to make it back-to-back wins after the Racers won (March 21) at the Spring Citrus Challenge in Sorrento, Florida.

The Racers continue their impressive 2016-17 season with their fourth win including wins in back-to-back events. MSU's wins have come at The Chris Banister Classic (Sept. 27), MVC Preview (Oct. 4), Citrus Spring Intercollegiate (March 21) and this week at the Panther Intercollegiate (March 28).
The Racers have won four events in a season for just the third time in the 21seasons of program history since the first season in 1993-94. MSU won four times in the 2002-03 season and five times in the 2013-14 season.
MSU has one more event in the regular season when they host their own Jan Weaver Invitational at Miller Memorial GC (April 7-8). Then it's on to the OVC Championship (April 17-19) in Owens Crossroads, Alabama at Hampton Cove GC. MSU will be looking for their 10th league title.
