Weather Update
Due to forecasted weather in Murray for this weekend, the series has been shifted. The Racers and the Redhawks will now begin their three-game set with a doubleheader Friday beginning at 1 p.m. Game three of the series is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., weather permitting. If rain forces Saturday's contest to be moved, the series finale will be played Sunday at 1 p.m., as it was originally scheduled.
First Pitch
Murray State continues its four-game homestand with a weekend OVC series against Southeast Missouri. The Racers are looking to snap their four-game losing streak and are coming off an 8-5 loss to Western Kentucky Tuesday. The Redhawks defeated Saint Louis 13-2 Tuesday in Cape Girardeau.
Inside the Series
MSU is 25-22-1 all-time at home against the Redhawks. The last time these two met at Reagan Field, SEMO swept the series back in 2015. The Redhawks won 2-of-3 last season at Capaha Field in Cape Girardeau. The Racers are 8-9 at home this season while SEMO is 5-10 in road contests in 2017.

Brandon Gutzler has reached base safely in 34 consecutive games this season, dating back to the second game of the year. That mark is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the country.

Chris Osborne is hitting .370 and leads SEMO with 39 runs and is tied for first on the team with seven home runs while Tristen Gagan also has seven longballs and a team-best 39 RBIs. Clay Chandler is one of the top pitchers in the league as he enters the weekend with a 7-2 record and an ERA of 3.19. Chandler leads SEMO with 59.1 innings pitched and 48 strikeouts.
