Golf Channel Reveals Racers' NCAA Golf Assignment Wednesday

The Murray State Racers will learn of their NCAA assignment when the 2018 NCAA Women's Golf Championship regionals are announced on The Golf Channel beginning at 4:30 p.m. CT, Wednesday, April, 25.

The Racers will be sent to one of four regional sites including: TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas, the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin and the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course & Club in Tallahassee, Florida.

Coach Velvet Milkman's team is in the NCAA Championship for the fifth time since 2009 and for a second consecutive season after they competed a year ago in Lubbock, Texas. Last week the Racers won their 11th Ohio Valley Conference title.

The 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships selections will also be streamed on the Golf Channel website. Seventy-two teams and 24 individuals will be selected to compete at one of four regional championships, each featuring 18 teams and six individuals (May 7-9). From regional competition, 24 teams and 12 individuals advance to the championship round (May 18-23) at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

This year's women's golf championships will be broadcast for the fourth consecutive year by Golf Channel with more than 100 news and tournament hours planned again for the men's and women's golf championships.
