Murray State's Track&Field and Cross County programs are pleased to announce 17 new additions set to join the Racers next year.
"We are very excited to add these seven recruits to the nine we signed in the early period. This class has a chance to make a huge impact on the team moving forward as well as leave a long lasting legacy once they graduate," said head coach Adam Kiesler. "Coach Riggins and Coach Wallace have done a great job of identifying amazing talent as well as great people. We look forward to watching each one of our incoming student-athletes finish out their Senior years and then join us next fall as a part of the Racer family."
Rachel Hagans

A native of Tampa, Fla., Hagans PRd in the 100-meter (11.92), 200- meter (24.54) and Long Jump (5.69m) while attending Tampa Catholic High School.
"Rachel will be able to help the team in multiple ways. She is a very talented student-athlete who is just starching the surface of what she can do in this sport," said head coach Adam Kiesler.
Jaysha Carter

A sprinter from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Carter ran the 100-meter hurdles (14.30), 300-meter hurdles (45.54) and 200-meter run (25.86) while at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.
"With the departure of one of the best hurdlers in school history we look for Jaysha to come in and make an impact on the conference level right away. Her range in the hurdle events as well as the sprints will give our team much needed depth,"said coach Kiesler.
Jakayla McSwain

A sprinter from Hopkinsville, Ky., McSwain ran a 56.90 in the 400-meter run and 25.72 in the the 200-meter event while at Hopkinsville High School.
"We are very excited Jakayla is staying close to home! As the fastest returning 400m runner in the state, we look for her to help our team in both the open events and relays," said coach Kiesler.
Christina Sparks

Sparks hails from Farmington, Mo., and specialized in javelin, where she threw a PR of 123' 10'' while at Farmington High School.
"We believe Christina can come in right away and help score points in the javelin in 2019. She is still very young when it comes to the javelin which makes it that more exciting that she decided to join us here at MSU," said coach Kiesler.
Meghan Easton

A distance runner from Hopkinsville, Ky., Easton ran a 2:23.51 in the 800-meter run and 5:31.56 in the 1600-meter run while at Hopkinsville High School.
"We are excited to have Kentucky native; Meghan Easton join the incoming freshmen class. We plan to capitalize on her consistency and versatility in the distance events next year," said assistant coach Jordan Wallace.
Emma Creviston

A distance runner from River Forest, Ill. Creviston ran both track & field an cross country at Trinity High School. She ran a 2:23.90 in the 800-meter, a 5:17.06/3 in thr 1600-meter and ran a season best of 18:22 in cross country.
"Emma has seen steady improvement each season over the past four years and we are excited to continue that momentum throughout her time at Murray state in the mid-distance events as well as cross country," said coach Wallace.

Brooke Misukonis

A pole vaulter from Bloomington, Ill., Misukonis set a PR of 12' while at Bloomington High School in pole vaulting.
"Brooke is going to make an immediate impact for us at the conference level and we are thrilled to have her joining our team. She will play a big role in Murray State Pole Vault putting its mark on the OVC along with current Racer, Emily Heil, who will be a Senior next year and then the three other signees, Gabby Kennedy, Jessie Kinder and Shannon Riley all joining us in the fall," said assistant coach Kelsey Riggins.
Hannah Johnson

Johnson, out of Thompson Station, Tenn., had PR distances of 134'3.5" in the discus and 128'9" in the Javelin.
"We are excited to add Hannah to our throws group. We think she can help us right away in both the discus and jav as we teach her the weight and hammer. She has a lot of potential and we are excited to get that out of her," said Coach Kiesler.
Jessikha Ribeiro

Had PR performances in the Pentathlon 3762, Heptathlon 4709, high jump 1.72m, long jump 5.70m.
"Jess will be a contributor for us right away in the multi as well as the open high jump. She is goal orientated and knows what it takes to compete at a high level. We are thrilled to be adding her our team."
Anna Vollet

A multi-event athlete from Jefferson City, Missouri. Vollet has PR's in the 100m (12.21), 200m (24.84) and long jump (18'5") at Helias Catholic HS.
"She'll be a multi-event athlete for us, with her sprints background and her just starting to get into the jumping events, she has a very bright future in track & field. Anna will make an impact for us in the jumps and sprints groups. She has a great attitude and is very motivated when it comes to competing at this level," said assistant coach Kelsey Riggins.
Gabby Kennedy

A pole vaulter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kennedy set a PR in pole vaulting with a jump of 11'6" while at Thomas More HS.
"She's a solid addition for our vault group. Gabby is a hard worker on and off the track and loves the pole vault. She is currently a level 10 gymnast and her athleticism show when she vaults," said coach  Riggins.
Jessie Kinder

A pole vaulter from Pickerton, Ohio. Kinder set a PR of 11'4" at Pickerton HS

"Jessie's athletic ability and personality are going to be an excellent addition for our team, particularly the Pole Vault group. She is a talented vaulter with a go-getter attitude which will do well for her at this level," said coach  Riggins.

A High Jumper from Edgereton, Wisconsin. Oren set a PR in 100m 12.35, high jumping at 5'8'' and long jump at 19'3.5"

"Ashlyn will be competing in the open jumping events (high jump & long jump) and the multi for us. She is a dedicated multi-sport high school athlete who will be able to contribute in both the open and multi events during her time as a Racer," said assistant coach Riggins.
Morgan Vosler

A long distance runner from Mile City, Montana. Vosler set Pr's in the 1600m (5:13.32) and 5k (19:09.68) while at Custer County HS.

"We are really excited to have Morgan join our program as we continue to build out our mid-distance group. We have high hopes for her to be able to contribute in our conference meets both in cross country as well as the Mile/1500m in track," said assistant coach Jordan Wallace.
Christian Slone

A distance runner from Alexandria,Kentucky. Slone comes to the Racers with PR's in the 5k (16:26.10) and mile run (4:39.99) at Campbell County HS.
"Christian is going to be a great addition to our program. He has seen a lot of improvement recently in high school and we plan to continue to build upon that throughout his college career. Christian also comes to us with an incredibly strong academic background which we know will contribute to his success at Murray State,"Â said coach Wallace.
Shannon Riley

A pole vaulter from Winfield, West Virginia. Riley set a PR in pole vaulting with a jump of 11'4" and a 5k run of 20:56 at Winfield HS.

"We are happy to add Shannon to our mid-distance and vault group. Focusing on those two areas, it will be exciting to watch her tackle both running and jumping throughout the season," said coach Wallace.
Peyton Newberry

A discus thrower from Kevil, Kentucky. Newberry set a PR of 122'2" in discus at McCracken County HS.

"Peyton will be a great fit to our throws group. Â Her attitude for success will be infectious throughout the throws group and the rest of the team," said head coach Adam Kiesler.
Alayna Stalter

Specializing in hurdles from Fishers, Illinois. Stalter set PR's in the 100m hurdle (14.80) and 60m hurdle (9.18) at Fishers HS.
"Alayna is coming to us with a great amount of potential.  As both a short and long hurdler she will help this team in multiple ways.  I look forward to watching her grow in the next four years," said coach Kiesler.
Jamia Hickman

A Sprinter from Tampa, Florida. Hickman set PR's in the 400m (56.77) and 200m (25.26) at Hillsborough HS
"Jamia is going to make an instant impact for us in the long sprints group.  She is a great competitor who is willing to help the team any way she can," said coach Kiesler
