Adebayo Earns Seventh Newcomer Honor

For the seventh time this season, Evelyn Adebayo of the Murray State women's basketball team has been named as the OVC Newcomer of the Week.
Adebayo averaged a double-double for the fourth straight week with her 11th and 12 double-doubles of the season and sixth and seventh in a row. The transfer had 20 points and 11 rebounds against Belmont Thursday and followed that with 16 points and a career-high 18 rebounds against TSU Saturday. Adebayo shot over 50-percent from the floor on the week, going for 15-for-29, including 8-for-16 Thursday and 7-for-13 Saturday.
Adebayo and teammates return to action Thursday when they travel to Jacksonville State, followed by a clash at Tennessee Tech Saturday.
