Wall-To-Wall Fun On Tap Saturday For Fans

Saturday, November 16 was already scheduled to be one of the biggest days of the year for Murray State, but the three games that day are just the beginning. The marathon day will begin at Noon when football hosts Austin Peay in a First Financial Bank Battle of the Border match-up at Roy Stewart Stadium. At 4 p.m., volleyball takes on Morehead State in its 2019 regular-season finale at Racer Arena, while men's basketball will close out the day at 7:30 p.m. against Brescia at the CFSB Center.
Listed below are all the many promotions and activities that will be offered to fans Saturday.
·        The 101st Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade "Lifeliners" will have various military vehicles stationed in and around Roy Stewart Stadium. In addition, several "Lifeliners" will also join the team for the Racer Walk from the CFSB Center to the 50-yard line at 9 a.m.
·        Members of the "Lifeliners" will present the colors for the national anthem in the form of a giant American Flag.
·        Prior to kickoff, 15 football seniors and their families will be honored for their contributions to Murray State football in advance of the final game of their careers at Roy Stewart Stadium.
·        "Lifeliners" commander Col. Stephanie Barton will serve as an honorary captain for Murray State during the pre-game coin toss.
·        Over 300 Racer Band alumni will be on hand to honor John Fannin during the final game of his 25-year career as director of the Racer Band.
·        Racer 1 jockey Bailey Coffman and Racer Band seniors will also be honored Saturday during media timeouts in the first and second quarter, respectively.
·        The Hutson School of Agriculture will be conducting a canned food drive at the game. Fans that bring five canned goods for Needline will receive a complimentary ticket to the 2019 MSU Rodeo, November 21-23 at the William "Bill" Cherry Agricultural Exposition Center.
·        Fans can receive complimentary admission to the day's football or men's basketball game courtesy of Max's 641 Towing by bringing a new, unwrapped toy for their annual Towing for Toys drive.
·        The 2019 Murray State Hall of Fame Class will be honored at halftime. The nine Racers will be inducted at a ceremony Friday evening and include Rob Hart (FB), Morgan Hicks (RIF), coach Connie Keasling (WTN), Austen Lane (FB), Alexis Love (WTF), De'Teri Mayes (MBB), Stevon Roberts (MTF), Siebert Straughn (MTF) and Pat Ward Sieb (WTF, WBB).
