Wheeler Leads Racers At Loyola Intercollegiate

The Murray State men's golf team carded a 302 in round two of the Loyola Intercollegiate at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Arizona.

Gabe Wheeler surged into a spot in 44^th place on scores of 75-74=149, while Austin Knight carded a pair of 75's for a spot in 50^th place. MSU's Avery Edwards was in 67^th place on rounds of 72-89=151 and Connor Coombs and Justin Wendling shared 92^nd place. Coombs had scores of 80-76=156 and Wendling had scores of 79-77=156. Dalton Bagwell was ninth among 15 individuals and 67^th overall after scores of 79-72=151.

Elon was the 36-hole leader at 571, with Loyola (MD) (572), UAB and Missouri State (575) making up the top-4. The Racers were in 16^th place.

Loyola's Evan Brown was the medalist leader through 36 holes on scores of 67-68=135.
