Offense Sees Positives On Both Sides Of Ball In Scrimmage #2

The Murray State football team took to the field Saturday night for its second scrimmage of fall camp. Afterwards, GoRacers.com caught up with quarterback Preston Rice and running back Rodney Castille for their thoughts on the night.
GoRacers.com: How do you think the scrimmage went tonight?
Rodney Castille: It was really fun. The offense came out hot and then the defense picked up a little bit and matched our energy. I think at the end the offense kind of lagged a little bit, but picked back up at the very end. I think, overall, it was a successful and productive night.
GoRacers.com: Where do you think the offense is in terms of being ready for the first game.
Preston Rice: We just keep getting better each and every day. We are finally getting to the end of our installs and all that, just learning the offense and getting that down to 100-percent and being the best we can be each and every practice.
GoRacers.com: What did you think of you opponents tonight, the defense?
Rodney Castille: They have a lot of ballers over there. They have a lot of speed, too. A lot of running backs like to go to the sideline and run east and west and just outrun everybody then get up north, but you can't do that with these guys. You got new guys like Tay Carothers on the end, man, he is as fast as a receiver, then you guys in the back making big plays as well.
