Racers Taken Down By Bruins

The Murray State women's basketball team dropped a tough loss to Belmont Thursday night, 86-56, at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.
The Racers had just one lead in the game, at 2-0, then trailed for the remainder of the game. Ellie Harmeyer played a huge role in the win by finishing with 26 points and 18 rebounds after having 17 and 14, respectively, at the break. The Racers trailed by only 12 at the break, but never trailed by less than 11 in the second half.
Macey Turley led Murray State in the game with 11 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Ashley Hunter followed with a career-high 10 points. Laci Hawthorne led the Racers on the boards Thursday with a personal best of 14, while also scoring seven points.
Murray State returns to action Saturday when it hosts Tennessee State at 5 p.m. on ESPN+.
