Overtime With Darius Hart
1. What made you want to come to Murray State and work for Coach Hood
I called around and asked some questions about Coach Hood, called some guys that I trusted and I heard nothing but great things about him as a man and most importantly, how he values family, that's big to me because I am a big family guy. The other thing I heard is about the success he's had as a leader in other situations and programs. To me a guy that has had success at all different levels show me that what he's doing works and can translate to any aspect of football.
Â
2. What is the first memory of football you have?
I come from a ginormous family, my grandparents had 17 children and then all of the them had children. So I guess it would be just growing up and getting out in the yard with all my cousins and brothers, we would just play for hours, beating each other up and having fun. It was a lot of fun.
Â
3. Do you have a game day ritual? If so, what is it?
I like to get up and take a good shower the morning of the game and usually try to get some type of exercise in, whether it's a brisk walk or a nice little jog. That helps me get my mind on the game and get locked in and focused.
