Coombs Eyes Lead – Racers sixth At UNA Event

The Racers are teeing it up this week on the Tennessee River at Turtle Point Country Club in the Florence, Alabama area
The Murray State men's golf team had a spot in sixth place through 36 holes of the TVA Credit Union Invitational at Turtle Point Country Club in Killen, Alabama.
With the final round coming Tuesday morning, the Racers had carded scores of 302-296=598 for a spot in sixth place, four shots behind Rollins (594) and nine shots from Southern Illinois (589). Host North Alabama (578) was the leader with Valparaiso (581) and UT Martin (587) in second and third place.
Murray State's Connor Coombs continued his fantastic fall season with rounds of 72-70=142 for a spot in fifth place, while Kamaren Cunningham was in 14th place after rounds of 73-73=146. Other MSU scores and places included Quinn Eaton in 30th place on rounds of 78-74=152 and Carson Holmes with scores of 79-79=158, was in 52nd place. Tyler Powell was in 62nd place on scores of 82-81=163. John Buchanan carded rounds of 76-75=151 and was 25th overall and third among the 11 solo players in the field of 66 competitors.
Calen VanArragon of Valparaiso was the medalist leader on scores of 69-70=139.
