Murray State Falls to Southeast Missouri in Four

Murray State fell 3-1 to Redhawks on Friday night.
The Murray State Racers volleyball (13-11, 7-7 OVC) battle with the Southeast Redhawks (21-6, 12-3 OVC) on Friday night at the Racer Arena but fell in four sets, 25-27, 13-25, 25-22, 17-25.
The building was electric as Murray State drew its largest crowd of the season for OVC-rival SEMO.
A family affair, as the Beasley sisters, Taylor and Zoey, faced off against each other for the first time this season. Taylor hit .429 on four kills and three block assists while Zoey had 14 kills on a .256 clip, adding two solo blocks and four block assists.
Brooke Lynn Watts led the Racers with 14 kills, one of two players with double-digit kills. She was followed by Jayla Holcombe who put down 11.
Bailey DeMier added 39 assists and recorded her second-straight double-double, adding 11 digs.
Becca Fernandez tallied a match-high 24 digs, helping Murray State get the edge in digs, 73-68. Dahlia Miller collected 15 digs and served three aces.
Southeast Missouri out blocked the Racers, 15-7. Holcombe tied a season-high five block assists.
The Racers hosts Southeast Missouri again tomorrow (Nov. 6) at 6 p.m. at Racer Arena. Senior Day celebrations will take place prior to the start of the game.
