Watts Collects Tenth OVC Weekly Honor

Brooke Lynn Watts was named OVC Newcomer of the Week

Following a pair of double-digit kill matches, freshman outside hitter Brooke Lynn Watts was named the OVC Newcomer of the Week.

Watts led the Racer offense with 26 kills, 15 digs and two aces to a split with third-place Southeast Missouri.

She just missed her fifth double-double of the season recording 14 kills and nine digs on Friday night.

The next night, Watts put down 12 kills on a .273 hitting % to help the Racers to a dominant 3-0 sweep on Murray State's Senior Night.

The weekly award honor marks the tenth of her career.

Watts and the rest of the Racers will head to SIU-Edwardsville to take on the Cougars at the First Community Arena at the Vadalabene Center on Friday at 6 p.m. CT and Saturday at 2 p.m. CT.
