Murray State loses 3-0 to Southeast Missouri at Houck Field House on Mar. 29.

For the second straight year, the Murray State volleyball team (5-11) ended its season against the Southeast Missouri Redhawks (14-2). The Racers fell in three sets, 22-25, 19-25 and 18-25.

The Redhawks extended their winning streak to 14 and will go to the conference tournament at the third-seed. Due to changes from Covid, only the top four teams in the OVC made the tournament in 2020-21. The Racers finished the season in seventh place with a 5-11 record.

Callie Anderton closes her career as a Racer with 16 assists, nine digs and two kills.

Kolby McClelland led Murray State with eight kills, seven digs and two blocks. Emily Matson contributed five kills and Darci Metzger had four kills on nine swings.

Becca Fernandez picked up 18 digs. She lead the OVC in total digs (324) and digs per set (6.00). Fernandez collected double-digits digs in every match this season.

Alysha Smith set a new career-high in digs with 14 through the three sets.

The Racers finish the 2020-21 season with a 5-11 record.
