Sara Loncarevic Garners Second OVC Weekly Award

Notches the honor after wins in both singles and doubles play against Jacksonville State

Sara Loncarevic of Murray State women's tennis has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Wednesday. She shares the weekly honor with Austin Peay's Fabienne Schmidt.

Loncarevic earned victories in both singles and doubles competition in Murray State's 5-2 victory over Jacksonville State on Saturday. The Guilherand-Granges, France native competed at the #1 position in both matches, cruising to a 6-4 win with partner Sarah Bureau before capturing a 6-1, 6-1 straight-sets victory over JSU's Carolina Bulatovic.

Loncarevic's OVC Player of the Week Honor is her second of the season and after capturing the honor on March 10^th.

The Racers return to action on Friday when they open a two-match road trip against UT Martin that precedes a Saturday meeting with Southeast Missouri.
