Moving Day - Racers Improve Three Spots To 10th at UNF

Murray State’s Raeshya Surendran leads the Racers with a spot in 18th place in a field of 91 competitors
After a morning round of 316, the Murray State Racers women's golf team shaved 12 shots and carded an afternoon round of 304 to get a share of 10th place at the UNF Collegiate. The final round at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida will be played Tuesday morning.
The Racers (316-304=620) were one shot behind Xavier (619) and six off the pace of Delaware (614). Host North Florida was the leader at 588, with Sam Houston (590), Chattanooga (596), South Alabama (598) and Florida Gulf Coast (607) made up the top-5.
The Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week last week, MSU's Raeshya Surendran is playing well this week again with a spot in 18th place on scores of 74-76=150. Ana Garcia Picchi was in 20th place on scores of 79-72=151. Payton Carter had rounds of 82-78=160 and was in 62nd place, while Briana McMinn was in 62nd position on scores of 81-81=162. Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria posted scores of 86-78=164 and was in 84th place.
The Jacksonville Golf & Country Club is playing to a par 72 and a length of 5,926 yards.

About Murray State Women's Golf
The Racers' program is in its 28th season overall, with the founder of the program, Coach Velvet Milkman guiding the way as the only coach the Racers have ever had. She started the Murray State program in the 1993-94 school year and has coached championship-level student-athletes that have produced 12 OVC championships, the most of any coach at Murray State. Also serving for many years as the Murray State Senior Woman Administrator, Milkman did MSU Athletics a great service by serving as Interim Athletics Director from July 2018 through February 2019. Milkman is involved at the NCAA level shaping women's golf on a national scale. She served a four-year term (2009-12) on the NCAA Women's Golf Committee including two years as chair.
