Racer Football Offers Full Slate In 2021

Family Weekend, Homecoming and more, add excitement to Team 97 & year two of Hood era
With the 2021 Murray State Football season just around the corner, fans can expect a comprehensively engaging and tradition-rich gameday experience as Coach Dean Hood and the Racers compete in five Fall of 2021 home games.
Each of Murray State's five home games this season will offer a unique promotion, allowing fans to experience each game in a unique and interactive way.
The Racers open the 2021 season Thursday, Sept. 2 at home against Mississippi Valley State with the annual Gold Rush game. The annual Murray State Gold Rush is a unique event that gives all new Murray State students the chance run across the field prior to the game in specially designed Murray State gold t-shirts. The Thursday 7:00pm kick allows fans to attend Racer Football and keep plans for a busy Labor Day weekend.
After a two-game road swing against BCS opponents and a bye-week the Racers return home exactly one-month later Oct. 2 for the Family Weekend against Eastern Illinois. Three weeks later, MSU returns to Roy Stewart Stadium for a special Battle of the Border edition of Homecoming including the return of Tent City.
The final two games of the season will see Murray State honor four different, yet equally deserving groups. On Nov. 6, the Racers will honor local heroes (first-responders, public safety, etc.) and the military, both active duty and veterans, as they take on Tennessee Tech. Murray State officials are coordinating with Fort Campbell's 101st Sustainment Brigade on enhanced Military Appreciation initiatives Racer Nation is sure to enjoy. On Nov. 13, Murray State will turn its attention inward as it honors both the 2021 MSU Hall of Fame Class and the 2021 football seniors.
Racer Football season tickets can be purchased by calling the ticket office at (270) 809-3000 or by visiting the ticket office in lower lobby "A" of the CFSB Center. The Murray State ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
