Eaton Selected As NCAA SAAC Representative

Senior Quinn Eaton of the Murray State men's golf team has been chosen as the OVC representative to the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Eaton has been involved in both the institutional and conference level SAACs, however this will mark his first time as a national representative. The senior was selected by a vote of all members of the OVC SAAC, to which he served as the MSU representative last season.

"Quinn has done a great job as Murray State's OVC Rep and I'm confident he'll do a great job representing the conference on a more national scale," said Murray State SAAC advisor and assistant track coach Kelsey Riggins.

The mission of the National Student-Athlete Advisory Committees is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.

The function of the NCAA National SAAC is to:
• Generate a student-athlete voice within the NCAA structure.
• Solicit student-athlete response to proposed NCAA legislation.
• Recommend potential NCAA legislation.
• Review, react & comment to the governance structure on legislation, activities and subjects of interest.
• Actively participate in the administrative process of athletics programs and the NCAA.
• Promote a positive student-athlete image.
