Racers Grab Big Comeback Win at Missouri State

Volleyball defeats the Bears 3-2 at Springfield
Murray State women's volleyball made a comeback to add one the win column at Missouri State, Friday.
The Racers is on the wrong side of a competitive first two sets before sweeping the final three sets.
MSU found their groove in the third set when they took a 12-point lead before securing the third set 25-20.
The fourth set is seesaw game where the Racers had to go through three deuces before securing. The fifth set is a similar scenario where the Racers had to go through two deuces before securing the set and match.
"The way we practice where they have to keep going for points allowed them to get used to just playing even when down two sets," said Head Coach David Schwepker.
Setter Bailey DeMier posted 54 assists to help get four hitters make over 10 kills. She also made 12 digs for her 12th double-double of the season.
"When Bailey gets a good pass she can set the ball anywhere and distribute to our hitters," Schwepker said. " We were struggling with the passes in the beginning but were able to figure it out and let Bailey do her thing."
Dahlia Miller is the leader in digs, posting 31 digs. Jayla Holcombe leads the Racers in kills with 18.
The Racers are 1-1 in the matchup against Missouri State this season and will visit Southern Illinois, tomorrow.Â
