Racers Close Fall Play Undefeated

Softball close fall games with a 4-0 win over Dyersburg State CC
Murray State softball hosted four double-headers in the fall, closing the slate with a 4-0 win over Dyersburg State Community College, Oct. 21.
The Racers opened fall play against Shawnee Community College where they won their first game 8-2 and their second game 9-1.
MSU closed their fall slate with wins over Dyersburg State Community College. They won 3-0 and 4-0 in a double-header.
The goal of the fall games was to make sure all players et some playing opportunities said head coach, Kara Amundson.
"With 50% of our roster being new players, we felt like it was important to get everyone time on the field, and I think we did that," said Amundson. "Competitively, we did some things well. My biggest surprise was our base running, taking extra bases and being aggressive on plays that helped put us in scoring position. We will score extra runs if we can carry that over into the spring. We feel good about the pieces we have in the circle and defensively."
The Racers will start their official season at the Abilene Christian Tournament, Feb. 10.
