Garcia In 4th After First Round of Ozarks National Invitational

Alma Garcia led the Racers in the first round of the Ozarks National Invitational with a score of 74. Both Garcia and the Racers were in fourth place after the first of three days of golf at Ozarks National Golf Club in Hollister, Missouri.

Garcia, not in the starting lineup this week, but playing as an individual, carded a 2-over-par 74 and was in fourth place in the field of 65 players and was only three shots off the pacing being set by medalist leader Sydney Taake with a 1-under 71. It was Garcia's best score this fall in nine rounds.

The Racers carded a team score of 306 and were four shots off the pace being set by leader Wichita State at 302, while South Dakota and Toledo shared second place at 303.

Murray State's Payton Carter was in seventh place on a score of 75, while Ana Picchi and Kaitlyn Zieba each shot a 76 and were in 15^th position.
Eliza Mae Kho's 79 was good for a spot in 30^th place, with McKenna Stahl was in 51^st place with an 82.
