Racers Seventh – Rain Suspends 2nd Round in Nashville

The Racers’ men’s golf team is playing the hermitage Golf Club Nashville
The Murray State men's golf team battled rain and the President's Course at the Hermitage Golf Club Monday in Nashville to a spot in seventh place after the first 18 holes and had their second round suspended by weather. The Racers' first round score of 307 put them in seventh place in a field of 13 teams at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate.
The suspended second round will be completed Tuesday morning with the final 18 holes commencing immediately.
Wright State (292), Tennessee Tech (295), UT Martin (296), Longwood (299) and Belmont (300) made up the top-5.
Murray State's top player was Kamaren Cunningham with a spot in ninth place on a score of 2-over-par 74. Connor Coombs carded a 76 and was in 25th place, while Trey Lewis was in 30th place on a 77. Walker Beck and Tyler Powell carded scores of 80 and 82 and were in 51st and 60th position. Quinn Eaton and Carson Holmes are in the event as individuals. Eaton's 77 was good for a 30th place spot, while Holmes was in 64th place after an 83.
Tyler Goecke was the first-round leader after a score of 70.
