Racers To Hold Official MVFC Announcement Friday

MSU, MVFC officials to celebrate move at Heritage Hall
Murray State University invites the public and media to a formal announcement and press conference celebrating Murray State's acceptance into the Missouri Valley Football Conference, Friday, April 8 at 3 p.m. at the Hall of Benefactors inside Heritage Hall.
Murray State University President Dr. Bob Jackson, Indiana State University President/MVFC President's Council Chair Dr. Deborah J. Curtis, MVFC Commissioner Patty Viverito, MSU Director of Athletics Kevin Saal and Murray State head football coach Dean Hood will all be on hand to discuss the Racers' historic move to the nation's premier FCS conference in 2023. Following statements from each, all four will take questions from the local media.
The entire event will be streamed live on ESPN+ and on Facebook Live. Heritage Hall is located on the corner of KY Highway 121 and North 16th Street, with parking located off North 16th.
On Monday, Murray State announced that it accepted an invitation to join the Missouri Valley Football Conference beginning with the 2023 season. The Racers will play their 75th and final season in the Ohio Valley Conference in 2022.
