Racers Look to Build Momentum in Weekend Clash with Cincinnati

Murray State women’s soccer travels across the Ohio River for a Sunday afternoon match with the Bearcats

Racers 2021 All-Newcomer defender Morgan Bodker and Murray State women's soccer (0-3) head to Cincinnati, Ohio for a 12 p.m. match with the Bearcats. MSU is looking to pick up some momentum early in the season and gain their first victory.

Hailey Cole and Bodker lead the Racers early in the campaign with a goal each while Cole also has an assist. MSU holds a .609 shot-on-goal percentage, putting 14 of 23 shots on target.

Scouting Report

Cincinnati (1-0-2) enters the contest after drawing with Bowling Green in their last time out. Graduate midfielder Brandi Thomsen leads the Bearcats with a goal and an assist through the first three games of the year. Junior Anna Rexford holds duties in goal and has collected six saves.

The Bearcats took the lone matchup between the two sides a season ago 2-1 in double overtime.
