Racers Not Enough for Missouri State

Volleyball fought five hard sets against Missouri State
Murray State volleyball fall to Missouri State on a hard-fought five-set match at Racer Arena, Saturday.
The Racers took the first lead, taking the first dominantly 25 to 18.
Both teams refused to let go of the second set. Missouri State was able to grab the set after a seesaw set that went through four deuces.
After losing the third set, the Racers were able to take the fourth to force a fifth set. The Bears was able to edge the win in the final set.
Bailey DeMier set a season high of 58 assists to average 11.6 per set. Ella Vogel played as DeMier's main tandem as she made a career high of 17 kills.
Federica Nuccio cemented her role as a two-way player, collecting 19 digs and 14 kills to record her tenth double-double of the season.
Dahlia Miller solidify the back row by making 25 digs.
"In order to win games we have to win sets, I think we are doing a good job earning our own points these last two (five set) matches in a new conference," said assistant coach Colton Reinholtz.
The Racers made a total of 65 kills, eight service aces and 11 blocks.
MSU will resume their Missouri Valley Conference campaign against Belmont at Racer Arena, Tuesday.
