Carter Stalks The Lead at APSU Intercollegiate

The Racers are playing in their second fall event in Clarksville, Tenn.
The Murray State women's golf team had a spot in fourth place and Payton Carter was in fifth place through 36 holes at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate at Clarksville Country Club in Clarksville, Tenn.

The Racers carded a morning 324 and got on a roll in the afternoon with a 309. Their 633 total was good for fourth place.

Carter posted rounds of 77-76=153 and had a spot in fifth place, just three shots off the lead of APSU's Shelby Pleasant at 150.

The host Governors were in the team lead at 610, just ahead of Belmont at 619.

Other Murray State scores and placed included Ana Picchi in 10th place on scores of 80-76=156 and Alma Garcia in 17th place on scores of 82-76=158. McKenna Stahl carded scores of 87-81=168 and was in 38th position and Ellie West was in 43rd place on rounds of 85-86=171.

Murray State's Kaitlyn Zieba and Katherine Weir are playing the event as two of nine solo players. Overall, Zieba was in 22nd place on scores of 82-77=159 and Weir was in 35th place on rounds of 83-84=167.
