The Racers take on a tough field of teams in the event hosted by Arkansas State at Sage Meadows CC
The Murray State women's golf team tees it up Monday and Tuesday at the Lady Red Wolves Classic at Sage Meadows Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
The 54-hole event calls for 36 holes of play Monday with the final 18 on Tuesday.
The Racers are part of a strong field of 16 teams and join fellow Missouri Valley Conference member Missouri State in Jonesboro and once again are matched against former Ohio Valley Conference opponents Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky and Morehead State.
The Racers have a pair of second place showings in the ASU event. In 2010 at Sage Meadows, MSU was runner-up and Alexandra Lennartsson won the medalist title. Lennartsson was at it again in 2011 MSU at Jonesboro Country Club, where she was third and the Racers were again runner-up. In 2021, MSU was set to play at Sage Meadows when the event was canceled.
