Gift will go towards enhancing Miller Memorial Golf Course and other Athletics projects and initiatives
Murray State Athletics has received a generous $1.2 million gift from Jim and Sue Cash for enhancements to Miller Memorial Golf Course and other department projects and initiatives.
Â
The gift, which also secured the naming rights for the pavilion at the University course, was formally announced at an event during the week of Homecoming.
Â
"Jim and Sue Cash have been tremendous supporters for many years and this gift is a testament to their generosity and passion for Murray State," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "We cannot thank them enough for their investment into our student-athletes and are looking forward to seeing the continued progress that is made around our department because of their gift."
Â
Miller Memorial has been the home to Murray State golf since 1983 and features a clubhouse that houses the locker rooms for both the men's and women's teams.
Â
The Racer Club plays a crucial role in helping support student-athlete scholarships, general operating budget, and facility enhancements. Investors play a critical role in funding the student-athlete experience and the competitive success of Murray State Athletics programs and student-athletes.
