Murray State defeated Ohio State and UTEP over the weekend

The Murray State rifle team traveled to Columbus, Ohio to take on Ohio State and UTEP for a full day of matches in which they were victorious on the day.Â
Murray State finished Saturday shooting a 2337 in smallbore and a 2369 in air rifle, finishing with an aggregate score of 4706 as OSU posted a 4701 and UTEP a 4587.
Matias Kiuru led the matchup with the second-highest aggregate score at 1185Â (590Â SB, 595 AR) as Scott Patterson had a strong showing with a 583 smallbore and an event high 596 air rifle.Â

The Racers put up a season-high 4713 on Sunday in a 4713- 4563 victory over UTEP in Columbus, Ohio. Alok Joarder put up a match-high 1184 aggregate score to continue his strong fall performances. John Blanton put up a 1177 score on the day as Scott Patterson, Paola Paravati, Allison Henry, and Matias Kiuru rounded out the top six performances of the match as the Racers took the top six scores of the day.
