Racers Triumph over Bruins in Extra Innings

Murray State wins 3-2 over Belmont in nine innings.

Saxon Radcliffe hits it off the wall to send Jadyn Thompson home, putting the Racers up 3-2 in the ninth inning over Belmont, Wednesday.

Belmont took the first lead in the fifth inning as Emily Cockrill hit an RBI single to the middle to score Ally Turner. Turner then scores from Brenna Blume's left field single to put the Bruins up 2-0.

Taylor Jackson puts the Racers on the board with an RBI single to score Bailey Broemmer in the bottom of the fifth. The Racers made it a tie game with Broemmer's triple RBI to score Gracie Osbron in the bottom of the sixth.

Hannah James came in for Jenna Veber in the fifth to take the win. James allowed one hit, struck out eight batters of all 15 she faced and gave up no earned runs.
