Racers struggle to bounce back in road match to Iowa
Murray State falls to Drake in their last regular season match.
MSU doubles pair Emma Honore/Natalie Slezakova won their match in the first flight of doubles 6-4. Emma Honore also picked up a singles win defeating her opponent (6-1),
(6-4). Annika Pschorr gave the Racers their second point from a three-set singles win (7-6, 2-6. 7-6).
"It was very competitive from start to finish on every court in singles and doubles. The doubles point came down to details and Drake was able to execute a little better than us. I liked how we bounced back in singles and gave ourselves the best chance to win on every court," said head coach Jorge Caetano.
"Unfortunately. We couldn't find 4 points in singles, but we are going to the MVC tournament with a lot of confidence in our abilities and now it's just a matter of being able to execute a little better."
