Racers Drop First Road Match To Georgia State

Saraya Young put both of her shots on target in 65 minutes off the bench
The Murray State women's soccer team lost Sunday's match, 3-0, to Georgia State at the GSU Soccer Complex in Atlanta.
Saraya Young put both of her shots in frame in 65 minutes off the bench.
Georgia State's Jimena Cabrero scored first in the eighth minute and were held scoreless until the second half, when Alondra Nieves would extend the Panthers' lead. GSU's Aaliyah Faddoul netted one more goal in the final three minutes of the match.
Freshmen Ava Roberson and Griselda Revolorio notched their first career starts as Racers on Sunday. Roberson spent 37 minutes on the pitch and Revolorio was in-goal for the first 45 minutes, picking up three saves.
The Racers return home on Thursday, August 24, at 4 p.m. to face off against the Kentucky Wildcats at Cutchin Field.
