Mary Hardy scored her seventh goal of the season.
The Racers ended the 2024 regular season on a 1-1 draw with the Drake Bulldogs on Sunday at MediaCom Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
The Racers struck the back of the net early after Mary Hardy scored a goal on a free kick served by Kate Stordy in the 13th minute of the match. Stordy delivered a pass directly to the box, where the ball found Hardy's right leg on the bounce and breezed past an outstretched Drake goalkeeper.
Hardy picked up her team-leading seventh goal of the year and Stordy dished her fourth assist.
The Bulldogs found the equalizer nearly 20 minutes later in the 32nd minute, with Drake's Layla Kelbel scoring her fifth goal of the year.
The Racers and the Bulldogs matched each other with eight shots for the day. Murray State outshot Drake in the first half 5-4, followed by Drake outshooting in the second half by a slim 4-3 split.
MSU took six corners and held Drake to none through the first 45 minutes, but the Bulldogs earned five second-half corners to the Racers' two.
With Murray State finishing with a 1-5-4 conference record, they end the season in 10th place and miss out on the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.
