
Racers Post Top Scores in Ohio State Double Header

Murray State Rifle posted scores of 4713 and 4728 in Columbus.
The Murray State Racers posted scores of 4713 and 4728 in a doubleheader at Ohio State on November 2 and 3 in Columbus, Ohio.Â
ÂOn Saturday, November the Racers claimed the top spot against Ohio State and UTEP by posting an aggregate of 4713. Murray State claimed each of the top three individual spots. Scott Patterson took first place overall with an aggregate of 1183; his scores of 686 and 597 were also the top in smallbore and air rifle. Â
ÂCaroline Martin claimed second overall with a season-high aggregate of 1178 while firing a 583 in smallbore and 595 in air rifle. John Blanton also posted an aggregate of 1178 while shooting a 585 in smallbore and 593 in air rifle.   Â
ÂEmma Lawrence continued her standout season as she claimed ninth overall with an aggregate of 1171 and scores of 581 and 590 in smallbore and air rifle.Â
ÂPaola Pavarati fired the second-highest score in smallbore with a 586 and posted an aggregate of 1168. Â
ÂOn Sunday, November 3 Murray State claimed another win over UTEP 4728-4681, posting season highs in aggregate and smallbore. Â
ÂSeven Racers placed inside the top ten individual scorers with Scott Patterson again claiming the top spot. Patterson fired a season-high of 591 in smallbore and a 595 in air rifle for a season-high aggregate of 1186. Â
Â"Scott had a great day," said head coach Allen Lollar. "He has been training well and it shows."Â Â
ÂJohn Blanton fired an 1184 to claim second overall with a 588 in smallbore and posted a top score of 596 in air rifle. Â
ÂEmma Lawrence and Caroline Martin rounded out the top five with both posting aggregates of 1175. Â
ÂAlok Joarder, Zach Jackson, and Paola Paravati all placed inside the top ten as well. Â
